It happened on the southwest side of San Antonio early Monday morning.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was struck and killed by a driver on the southwest side of San Antonio who told officers he didn’t see them until it was too late.
It happened around 6 a.m. in the 13300 block of Southwest Loop 410 at Hunters Pond.
The victim, who police say was in his late 30s or early 40s, was apparently crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a driver traveling eastbound on the access road of Loop 410.
The victim was hit in the center lane of the roadway. Police say there is no lighting in that area of the road.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by SAFD. His identity has not yet been released. No word on if the driver will be facing any charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
