SAN ANTONIO — A man has turned himself into authorities in connection to a murder at an apartment complex back in April of this year.
Reynoldo Orion Rios, 23, turned himself into police Monday and is charged with murder, according to an arrest affidavit.
On April 18, Angel (Angelina Marie) Hernandez was found shot in the courtyard of the Legacy Flats Apartments on Shaenfield Road. Police said in a Crime Stoppers report that a man in a red hoodie was seen getting out of a blue Dodge Charger and jumping the gate into the apartment complex to meet the victim.
Police say that man in the hoodie was Rios. The arrest affidavit said he messaged Hernandez over Instagram to meet up because he owed her money. He told police he feared for his family’s safety if he did not provide her all of the money.
Monday, after a Crime Stoppers report on the crime, Rios called 911 to turn himself in, police said. He was taken to the homicide office where he was interviewed. Police said he had already been identified as a person of interest in the case.
