On Tuesday, the victim was identified as 30-year-old Johnny Joe Montoya. The medical examiner also says his cause of death was a gunshot wound.
SAN ANTONIO — A mailman discovered a man’s body on a sidewalk west of downtown Saturday morning, according to San Antonio police.
SAPD was called to the 200 block of Dorris Street around 11 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive man lying on the sidewalk. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
On Tuesday, the victim was identified as 30-year-old Johnny Joe Montoya by the Bexar County Medical’s Examiner’s Office. They also say his cause of death was a gunshot wound. It has been ruled as a homicide.
According to SAPD, a mailman originally found the body.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
