A Flash Flood Warning remains in place until at least 6 p.m. in Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties.
SAN ANTONIO — The wet weather has continued to start the work week, with Fiesta in full swing in San Antonio.
Heavy rain has led to flooding in low-lying parts of San Antonio roads Monday afternoon, resulting in water rescues for cars stuck in high water. The National Weather Service says a Flash Flood Warning for parts of Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties continues until at least 6 p.m.; the agency said life-threatening flash flooding was possible.
As much as three to five inches of rain could fall in the impacted area, NWS officials said. Organizers of the day’s biggest Fiesta event, the Cavaliers River Parade, say it’s still on track to begin at 7 p.m. but also that they were “monitoring the weather regularly.”
“If the weather situation deteriorates, we will make an announcement… (on) the Texas Cavaliers website and social channels.”

Alamo Heights, Doheny at Culebra Creek, Encino Park, and Vance Jackson at Wurzbach are some of the roads that were closed due to flooding at 3:20 p.m.
Officials with Bexar County urge commuters to take road barricades seriously and turn around if they come upon flooded roadways, if possible.
The Hill Country is also seeing major flooding. Click here or see below for road closures in New Braunfels.
