Both Eberle and Peyton have been linked to a spree of thefts across multiple states, according to a Facebook post from the Marshall Police Department.

MARSHALL, Texas — Marshall police arrested on Friday two Wisconsin residents accused of being linked to thefts across multiple states.

According to police, Bridgette Eleanor Peyton was detained after allegedly attempting to steal over $1,500 worth of merchandise.

Officers were then alerted to a fight in the parking lot. According to police, Nicholas Eberle was allegedly in an altercation with a vehicle owner after attempting to break into several cars. Eberle was apprehended by officers following a short foot chase.

Both Eberle and Peyton have been linked to a spree of thefts across several states, according to a Facebook post from the Marshall Police Department.

“Dubbed a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, these two learned quickly that Texas doesn’t take kindly to thieves. ‘Don’t Mess with Texas’ isn’t just a slogan — it’s a way of life, especially when it comes to protecting our property,” the post said.
