Courtesy of gofundmeServices and a vigil have been scheduled by the family of Matthew Guerra for later this week.
Raquel Guerra, the stepmother of Matthew told KSAT 12 the vigil for him will be held on Monday, January 1, at 4 p.m. at Woodlawn Park, 1103 Cincinnati Ave., San Antonio, TX 78201.
KSAT 12 was also told by the family that Guerra’s viewing will be held next Monday, January 8, at Mission Park Funeral Home from 5:30-8 p.m.

On December 23, Guerra’s girlfriend Savanah Soto, 18, had been reported missing when she didn’t show for an appointment to have labor induced for her baby. The Texas Department of Public Safety issued a CLEAR alert for Soto over the Christmas weekend, which was lifted Tuesday, December 26 when San Antonio police found her body at the Colinas Apartments in a 2013 gray Kia Optima along with Guerra.

The Bexar County Medical examiner identified both bodies last week, and determined on Thursday, December 28 that both Guerra and Soto died due to gunshot wounds to the head. On Friday, December 29, the medical examiner’s office said both deaths were ruled homicides.

On Thursday, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said both deaths are being investigated as capital murder. SAPD are currently looking for two persons of interest who were seen on camera near the spot where the couples bodies were found. No arrests have been made.
