CHICAGO — Mayor Ron Nirenberg is in Chicago with the Texas delegation for the Democratic National Convention, which begins on Monday.
The 2024 DNC in Chicago begins Aug. 19 and continues through Thursday, Aug. 22.
The convention is taking place at the United Center, which is located on the city’s west side. The building is the home of the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks, and also hosted the Democratic National Convention in 1996.
President Joe Biden will address the delegates on Monday, as well as Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and First Lady Jill Biden.
The keynote speeches Monday are expected to begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
