Meet East Texas student-athlete Patrick Dzudie: 11 touchdowns and 750 yards in 1 game

The 6-man star player is making waves in Longview.

LONGVIEW, Texas — If there was a fantasy football league for Texas high school football….you’d want Patrick Dzudie on your team.

Dzudie was responsible for 11 touchdowns and was responsible for over 750 yards of offense in the Trinity School of Texas Titans 130 to 96 win over Leverett’s Chapel.

“Literally, at the end of the first quarter, one of our assistant coaches, he looked at me, it was like, it’s going to be a long game. This is going to go all four quarters, so like, just be ready,” Dzudie said.

Ready was an understatement. He was the biggest part of an offense that scored on every single possession.

“Coach Barrow, he called it a track meet, multiple track meets,” Dzudie said.

It didn’t come down to some fancy scheme that got him into the end zone, just pure primal desire.

“With it being senior night home game in front of our families crowd, everything,” Dzudie said. “Just knowing that we’re going to do something great, knowing how much was at stake, I guess i just wanted to win the game. I knew I had to win the game, and it wasn’t optional to me.”

With a performance like that, he’s put the 6 man TAPPS division one Trinity School of Texas Titans on the map in one of the biggest high school football towns in Texas, and did so just a few years after the program was brought back after COVID forced the school to get rid of the program.

“The school is getting into it. Little kids are getting into it. Everyone thinks that we’re like heroes and stuff,” Dzudie said. “So i just hope that that continues, like they start to love the game, like we do, and then as years go by, like we’ll build a better program, stronger program, and we’ll make a name for ourselves, not just longer high school, but people think about trinity as a pretty good football school too”
