Members of a San Antonio volleyball club critically injured in fatal Reno crash

A fundraising effort is underway to support San Antonio volleyball club members involved in a fatal multi-car crash in Reno.

SAN ANTONIO — A desperate fundraising effort is underway to help seven family members of a San Antonio volleyball club involved in a fatal crash in the Reno, Nevada area Saturday.

The team was in the area for a competition when the vehicle they were in was involved in a multi-car crash.  

CBS television KTVN reported on the crash that happened Saturday. Police said a box truck crashed into their sedan, killing a grandmother of some team members and critically injuring everyone else involved.

San Antonio Empire Volleyball shared more details of the players who were injured on social media and thanked the volleyball communities in San Antonio, Reno and around the country for their support.
