SAN ANTONIO — A middle school student was rushed to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle while they were riding their bike on their way to school Wednesday morning, official say.
This happened around 7:30 a.m. near Swayback Ranch and Mill Park a few blocks away from John Folks Middle School.
The student was taken to University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to Northside ISD spokesman Barry Perez. He also said that both of the student’s parents were on the scene.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the driver that struck the student stopped and provided information about the crash. That driver will not be facing any charges, BCSO says.
