Midway Little League sweeps state titles and advances to regionals

Midway Little League’s 10U and 12U baseball and softball teams won state titles in Abilene. The 12U boys made history with the program’s first-ever state win.

WACO, Texas — It was a championship weekend for Midway Little League, as all four of its teams in the 10U and 12U baseball and softball divisions brought home state titles from tournaments held in Abilene.

In a historic moment for the program, the 12U baseball team captured its first-ever state championship, marking a major milestone for the Midway boys’ program. The 12-year-old team battled through tough competition to claim the title and now turns its focus to regional play.

The 10U baseball and softball teams, along with the 12U softball team, also claimed top honors in their respective brackets, completing a sweep for Midway Little League and highlighting the strength of its youth program across the board.

All four teams will now advance to their respective Southwest Regionals, where they will compete for a coveted spot in the Little League World Series.

It’s a proud moment for the Midway community, one filled with excitement as the Panthers and Pantherettes take their next steps on the road to Williamsport and beyond.
