Operation Jaguar is a security cooperation exercise taking place at JBSA-Lackland.
SAN ANTONIO — Through our military partnerships, there’s always a chance international service members can show up if we’re ever in a time of crisis.
JBSA-Lackland Air Force base is preparing for just that, featuring military students from 23 different Latin American countries. These students from Latin America are about to put their skills to the test to keep everything under control. Operation Jaguar is a security cooperation exercise and it’s a new step in these student’s journeys to serve and protect others.
The students will first go through an intelligence briefing, then the entire simulation is gonna start later.
This event is being hosted by the Inter-American Air Force Academy. This is a Capstone program for the students.
Therefore they’re going to have to use military surveillance, reconnaissance, force protections, international logistics among other skills they’ve learned to get the job done.
What’s interesting about this entire event is that this is the only academy in the Air Force Institute to teach its courses in Spanish.
It’s going to be awesome to see them work as a team and accomplish this challenge. We’re scheduled to be going inside, so we’ll have an update on how everything goes.
