SEGUIN, Texas — (Editor’s note: This missing girl has been found. We have removed her and her mother’s name from the article.)
A mother is pleading for her daughter to come home.
A 10-year-old is missing in Seguin after she said she was going to a friend’s house but never showed up.
Her mother told KENS 5 it’s not like her daughter to be missing like this.
“I’m not mad at you, I just want to know you’re okay. Just please text me back,” the mother said.
The last time she said her daughter messaged her was Thursday night.
The girl told her mother she was going to be at a friend’s house.
“We checked with the parents, and they have not seen [her name], so she just lied about the whole situation, but she really wasn’t there,” the mother said.
The girl was last seen at a relative’s home in the 16-hundred block of Sunset Street on Friday morning.
Police and her family said she could be with someone.
The family said she was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt, and white and grey sneakers. They also described her as a tall 10-year-old with long brown hair and side bangs.
“Just going to sleep without her is the worst feeling, just knowing your daughter is not there is the worst,” the mother said.
The mother said this whole situation is out of character for her daughter, and the last thing she wants is for her to be scared to come home.
“If you hear me, please come home…I want you home…I’m not mad at you,” the mother said.
If you have any information as to where she could be, call the Seguin Police Department at 830-379-2123.
