CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The body of a missing 29-year-old man was found in Lake Corpus Christi late Monday morning, 3NEWS crews are reporting.

A pair of missing swimmers went missing at Lake Corpus Christi on Sunday evening.

The San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office told 3NEWS that rescue efforts initially centered on a party of five individuals at the lake. Three of those people were rescued. A 4-year-old and a person in their 20’s did not surface. Deputies assisted Parks and Wildlife with the search, but there were no results.

Search efforts resumed around 7 a.m. on Monday, but officials told our 3NEWS crew that windy conditions are complicating search efforts.

Authorities are continuing an urgent search for one adult and one minor after the two went missing while swimming at Lake Corpus Christi State Park.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden Captain Ben Baker spoke with 3NEWS and confirmed that the search is ongoing and will continue on Monday.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Division Game Wardens, Lake Corpus Christi State Park personnel, Sandia Volunteer Fire Department and the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Department were all on the scene to help search for the two missing people.
