
A Silver Alert for Douglas Wendall has been discontinued after he was located, according to the Austin Police Department.
AUSTIN, Texas — A 66-year-old man has been found as of Thursday morning after he was reported missing from South Austin Tuesday afternoon.
A Silver Alert was issued for Douglas Wendall, who is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment. The alert has been discontinued as of approximately 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
Prior to being found, the Austin Police Department said Wendall had last been seen on foot at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday at the West Oaks nursing home, located at 3200 Slaughter Lane.
Law enforcement believed his disappearance posed a credible threat to his own health and safety.
