Missing North Texas woman with dementia last seen Tuesday night

DeSoto police said Deborah Thomas was last seen near Water Crest Drive and Lakeview Drive at about 9:45 p.m.

DESOTO, Texas — DeSoto police are calling on the public to help find a woman who went missing Tuesday night.

Officials said 70-year-old Deborah Thomas was last at about 9:45 p.m. on Water Crest Drive and Lakeview Drive.

Police said Thomas has dementia, which could cause her to become disoriented. According to officials, she tends to walk up to random houses and knock on doors, thinking it’s her own home.

Thomas is a Black woman who was last seen wearing a white hate, glasses, a white and pink jacket, black pants, and mismatched shoes. One of the shoes was red and the other was blue.

Thomas’ family and DeSoto police are working to issue a Silver Alert for her.

Anyone with information on Deborah Thomas’ whereabouts is asked to call 911 or SWRCC at 972-223-6111.
