Missing Parker County trio confirmed dead, 2 people arrested in connection with their murder, officials say

Two people were charged with capital murder in connection with the deaths of three people previously reported missing in Parker County, officials said.

PARKER COUNTY, Texas — Two people were charged with the murders of three people previously reported missing in Parker County, police said.

Parker County Criminal Investigations Division, in cooperation with the Texas Rangers, arrested two people in connection with the killing of Tiffany Ann Williams, 44, David Dewayne Walker, 42 and Robbie Allen Head, 55., the sheriff’s office said in a press release.

Police charged 19-year-old Barrett Copeland and 27-year-old Trin Lawrence McKnight with capital murder in connection with the crime, the release states. Police initially said a 45-year-old man was also accused in the case, but “recent findings” exonerated him, officials said in an update Wednesday. Charges against the man were dismissed and he was released from custody.

The victims were first reported missing Monday, April 21, WFAA previously reported. Deputies were called to a home in the 100 block of Myrtle Lane after a concerned family member reported being unable to reach Williams, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Investigators said the condition of the home and witness statements about the last known contact led them to believe the disappearance was suspicious and that the individuals may be in danger.

Three bodies matching the victim’s descriptions were found several days later, less than 10 minutes away from the home where they had gone missing. Officials have not connected the bodies to the Parker County trio.

Copeland and McKnight were currently being held in the Parker County Jail, the release states. Their bonds are set at $1 million each, the release states.

Copeland was also charged with burglary of a habitation with an additional bond of $50,000, officials said. McKnight was also arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Tarrant County for possession of a controlled substance, the release states.

The investigation is ongoing, Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier said.

This is a developing story. WFAA will provide updates once they become available.
