The search for the missing man ended on Wednesday when police say they found his body in a wooded area in Comal County.
SCHERTZ, Texas — A 32-year-old man who was reported missing in Schertz has been found dead, police said Wednesday.
The Schertz Police Department said John “Beau” Stein was reported missing on Tuesday. Authorities continued their investigation into the following day and requested assistance from Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR), the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Selma Police Department.
The search ended when Stein’s deceased body was found in a wooded area north of the 17600 block of Lookout Road in Comal County. Police said Stein’s next of kin have been notified.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.
