Missing teen believed to be with man she met on social media found safely, officials say

Anna-Alexandra Arroyave-Ortiz was last seen leaving her residence in the 6700 block of Smith Road on Sunday at about 3:45 p.m.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating an endangered missing juvenile.

According to a Facebook post, 14-year-old Anna-Alexandra Arroyave-Ortiz was last seen leaving her residence in the 6700 block of Smith Road in south Bexar County on Sunday at about 3:45 p.m.

Anna-Alexandra is 5’4″, weighs 164 lbs., has brown eyes and black hair. She was wearing a black hooded sweater, torn blue jeans and white converse tennis shoes. She was also reportedly wearing a backpack and had a white keepsake box.

“Unfortunately at this point we have very little information on who we believe she’s with,” Sheriff Javier Salazar said Monday afternoon, adding she could be with a man named Cesar or Ceasar and leaving the state. “I can tell you our partners at the FBI are involved in this case.”

It’s unknown what kind of car they could be traveling in, but Salazar said sheriff’s deputies were also pursuing tips that Arroyave-Ortiz could still be in the San Antonio area.

If anyone has any information about Anna-Alexandra’s whereabouts, call BCSO at 210-335-6000 or email the BCSO Missing Person Unit at missingpersons@bexar.org.
