Monarch Fest flies through, Wanda Sykes visits the Majestic and more to do this weekend in SA

Spring brings new festivities to San Antonio, including a Spring Equinox Market, Monarch Fest, a huge comedy tour and a SA Philharmonic concert.

SAN ANTONIO — Spring is finally here! With plenty of sunshine and clear blue skies, this weekend is the perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy some spring-time activities this weekend in San Antonio.

Here’s some events you won’t want to miss.

Spurs v. 76ers

What better family outing in the Alamo City than to support the Silver & Black. On Friday, the San Antonio Spurs host the Philadelphia 76ers at Frost Bank Center.

The team is coming off a rollercoaster of wins and defeats since the team’s loss of Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox for the season, including an inspiring victory over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night–what might forever be known as The Mamu Game

Spring Equinox Market

Gardopia Gardens kicks off the season this Saturday with the Spring Equinox Farmers Market.

The free event features free produce, local artisan goods and crafts, live music, a cooking demonstratio, and plenty of family-friendly activities.

Monarch Fest

The San Antonio Zoo also kicks off the springtime fun with a two-day festival celebrating all things monarchs, milkweed and migration.

The 10th Annual Monarch Fest features live music and entertainment, educational games, crafts, seed giveaways, memorable characters, story times and more. Get your tickets now.

Wanda Sykes at the Majestic

Ranking among Entertainment Weekly’s 25 Funniest People in America, stand-up comedian, actress and writer Wanda Sykes brings her Please & Thank You Tour to the Majestic Theatre this Friday.

San Antonio Philharmonic

The San Antonio Philharmonic presents Classics VII conducted by Jeffrey Kahane featuring Ukrainian pianist Illia Ovcharenko.

The program features a mix of enchanting melodies and powerful storytelling, where magic comes to life through vivid orchestration.

When: Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m.
