INGRAM, Texas — It takes a village! Multiple local animal rescue organizations worked together to help some feral cats that were impacted by the flooding in the Hill Country to hopefully find a home.
The San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition, The Big Fix, and Kerrville Pets Alive! have helped over 120 feral cats who were displaced by the July Fourth flooding.
In the first phase of their joint mission, they safely trapped 30 cats, and got them vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and neutered, then returned them to their home area.
Rescuers say the cats will then head to a shelter, where they’ll be adopted into homes in Colorado.
