Kiersten McWilliams got on the school bus on Dec. 15 and hasn’t been seen since. Her mother said she turned the location sharing off her iPhone.
FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — A Fort Bend County mother is desperate for answers about her missing daughter. It’s been three weeks since Rayna Glass last saw her daughter, Kiersten McWilliams.
Since she’s been gone, Kiersten turned 16 and her mother believes she could be in grave danger.
“She’s really sweet, she’s athletic, she’s really smart,” Rayna said. “She’s pretty, you wouldn’t miss her in a crowd.”
Kiersten missed Christmas and the start of the new year.
“We’re just waiting, you know,” Rayna said.
On the morning of Dec. 15, Rayna said goodbye to Kiersten as she left to catch the bus to school. Not long after that, Rayna got a notification that Kiersten turned off location sharing on her iPhone.
“It made me suspicious, so I immediately started calling,” Rayna said.
For the rest of the day, Rayna called everyone she knew looking for her daughter. She and her family have had to do a lot of the legwork themselves such as putting up flyers and making social media posts.
Rayna said her daughter doesn’t have a car, money, ID or Social Security card. She said she had no idea where she could be and she was afraid.
She had this message for Kiersten: “You can come home. You know that. So just come home and we’ll figure all this out. You know we will because we do it all the time.”
Rayna said she thought Kiersten was with a boy she had been seeing in the weeks before she went missing.
Law enforcement confirmed that bit of information. Rayna said the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office told her this: “We need to focus to try to see if we can push him out because wherever she is, then he is.”
As of Tuesday, FBCSO considered Kiersten a runaway but wouldn’t elaborate on the details of the case citing her privacy and safety.
Investigators said they think Kiersten left on her own, but Rayna said her daughter has never left home like this and it’s just not like her.
