A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition after crashing into an SUV at a north side intersection late Saturday night.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating a major crash that left a motorcyclist seriously injured late Friday night on the north side of San Antonio.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 11:35 p.m. to the intersection of Bulverde Road and Loop 1604 for a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
Investigators say the 22-year-old motorcyclist ran a red light before striking the SUV.
The rider suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
Authorities say the driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation.
