SAN ANTONIO — A 19-year-old man was critically injured Friday night after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck towing a trailer on the city’s northwest side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Officers were called around 11 p.m. to the intersection of West Woodlawn Avenue and North Elmendorf Street. Police said the motorcyclist was riding a 2009 Suzuki SFV 650 westbound when a 2024 Dodge Ram 2500 traveling eastbound attempted to turn left, causing the collision.
The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to SAPD.
Police said the driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with officers during the investigation.
SAPD said information is preliminary and subject to change. The investigation is ongoing.
