Motorcyclist dies after losing control and hitting stone pillar, according to police

SAN ANTONIO — A motorcyclist is now dead after hitting a stone pillar early Saturday morning, according to police.

At about 2:30 a.m., a 25-year-old man was riding a motorcycle going south on the 19200 block of Hardy Oak Boulevard.

Police say the man was unable to handle the upcoming curve and hit the raised center median. He then lost control and struck a stone pillar. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved, and the man’s identity has not been released.
