Motorcyclist hospitalized after suspected hit-and-run along San Antonio highway, police say

SAPD said the 44-year-old motorcyclist was attempting to switch lanes when he was struck by an unknown vehicle moving into the same lane.

SAN ANTONIO — A motorcyclist was hospitalized after police said he was struck by a vehicle on San Antonio’s northwest side early Saturday morning.

According to SAPD, officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of NW Loop 410 for reports of an accident between a vehicle and a motorcycle along the westbound main lanes.

Officials said the motorcyclist was attempting to switch lanes when he was struck by an unknown vehicle moving into the same lane.

The 44-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and investigators said the driver fled the scene prior to police arrival.
