SAN ANTONIO — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on I-35 North, where another driver fled the scene, San Antonio police said.
SAPD was called to the 1300 block of I-35 North around 11:50 p.m., Saturday.
Police said a 2025 Kawasaki EX650 motorcycle was headed northbound. Witnesses reported the motorcyclist was lane-splitting to avoid traffic from another crash.
As the rider traveled between vehicles, he was struck by an unidentified black car, lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle, hitting the rear of a black 2020 Chevrolet Malibu, according to SAPD.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and was last reported in stable condition.
Police said the driver of the unidentified black car left the scene and failed to render aid. That driver is expected to face a charge of collision involving serious bodily injury.
