Police say a motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing into a flatbed trailer Saturday night east of downtown San Antonio.
SAN ANTONIO — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Saturday night after a crash involving a flatbed trailer on San Antonio’s east side.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 8:13 p.m. to the northbound access road of Northeast Loop 410 near Rigsby Avenue for a major accident.
Police say a 49-year-old motorcyclist crashed into a flatbed trailer after the trailer drove through a red light at the intersection.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to authorities.
The driver of the trailer remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police say the crash remains under investigation, and the information released so far is subject to change.
