SAN ANTONIO — A major crash involving four vehicles on the northeast side leaves several people injured Friday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the multi-vehicle crash on NE Loop 410 near Starcrest Drive around 3:30 p.m.
San Antonio Police say a vehicle got on to the highway and didn’t see traffic stopped ahead and rear-ended another car causing a chain reaction. One person in the first car was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition.
Several other drivers had minor injuries, authorities say.
Several lanes of traffic are blocked due to the accident and drivers are asked to avoid the area or to find an alternate route.
