‘My baby, I want him home.’ | Family desperately searches for answers in disappearance of missing teen

Ivan Sanchez’s mother says on the afternoon of April 14, he told her he was going to take out the trash and that was the last time she saw him.

SAN ANTONIO — It’s been five days since 16-year-old Ivan Sanchez went missing after his family says he left their home in far south Bexar County, near Highway 281 and Loop 1604.

Sanchez’s family is emotional about his disappearance and say nothing would make them happier than to have him back home.

“My baby, I want him home. Please help bring him home safe,” said Crystal Salas, Ivan’s Mother.

According to Salas, on the afternoon of April 14, Ivan said he was going to take out the trash and that was the last time she saw him.

“He never came back in. He told me he loved me. He told me, ‘I love you, mom,'” said Salas.

Ivan’s family says he left a note saying that he was going to make his way to Dallas. Ivan was captured on a surveillance video the same day he went missing at a nearby gas station, where he was asking for rides.

“My husband went and looked at the footage and it was him at the Valero. He was asking 18-wheelers and everybody for a ride,” said Salas.

Ivan’s parents say he didn’t have his phone with him and are concerned for his safety because they feel he may have met the wrong person(s).

According to his parents, Ivan is 5’7″ tall and weighs about 115 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Ivan’s father says everyone in the family is worried about him including his little brother and sister, who miss him and just want him back home.

“He’s my best friend man. Come home daddy. We love you so much,” said Ivan Sanchez, Ivan’s Father.
