NBA announces Spurs’ NBA Cup quarter finals matchup; Austin Spurs keep winning

The Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs are set for a high-stakes quarterfinal clash in the 2025 NBA Cup.

SAN ANTONIO — The NBA announced that the Los Angeles Lakers will face the San Antonio Spurs in the 2025 NBA Cup quarterfinals. The game will be on Dec. 12 in Los Angeles and broadcast on Prime Video.

The Spurs advanced to the quarter finals after a road win over the Nuggets on Nov. 28.

“This is huge. Whether people want to try and downplay it or not, I mean we were in the toughest, I feel like, (NBA Cup) group and to come out. It shows, we don’t have, Steph (Castle), we don’t have Vic (Wembanyama) and we just got (Dylan) Harper back,” said Devin Vassell after the win in Denver. “And I mean just the resilience of the team. Everybody’s stepping up, everybody coming in and having big minutes.”
