Police say the 25-year-old suspect and the victims were family members living together in the same house.
SAN ANTONIO — Officials with the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) say a woman is dead and two other victims hospitalized after a suspect opened fire on the north side Wednesday.
Around 5 p.m., authorities responded to the 17900 block of Winter Hill Road after receiving a call from someone reporting a body outside their home. Upon arriving, officers located a man and a woman in critical condition; they were taken to a local hospital.
Neighbors were shaken by what happened.
“I ended up calling my wife and just telling her make sure you close the garage door, lock the doors, because there’s something happening here,” one neighbor said.
Police say the 25-year-old suspect and unidentified victims were family members living together in the house. According to officials, the suspect shot a 59-year-old man in the head before following a 60-year-old woman out of the home and fatally shooting her.
The suspect then shot himself in the head, but survived. That suspect, along with the man he allegedly shot, where hospitalized in critical condition.
Police say the suspect could face charges for murder and aggravated assault. Law enforcement says that if the second victim died, the charge would be upgraded to capital murder.
