SAN ANTONIO β Set your alarm clocks and get your kids ready as children in some of San Antonio’s largest school districts across San Antonio will be heading back to class on Monday.
Northeast ISD says they’re excited to see everyone back on their campuses Monday, August 11, for the first day of school. They also want to remind parents that their new start and end times are in effect, so check the schedule before heading out the door!
- Early elementary school days will be from 7:25 am to 2:40 pm.
- Late elementary school days will NOT change, with school days from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm.
- Middle school days will be from 8:30 am to 3:45 pm.
- High school days will be from 8:55 am to 4:20 pm.

Jourdanton ISD is excited to welcome 1,500 amazing students back to their campuses on Monday. They want to make it a safe and smooth start to the school year:
- Be patient in drop-off and pick-up lines.
- Watch for students who may be walking or biking to school.
- Always stop when school buses have their red lights flashing.
Lytle ISD has announced the school bus routes with their pick up times.
Southwest ISD starts school Monday, August 11. “We canβt wait to welcome our students, families, and staff back for another exciting year of learning, friendships, and success.”
- Bell Schedule:
- Elementary: 8:10 AM β 3:40 PM
- Middle: 7:30 AM β 3:00 PM
- High: 8:50AM β 4:25 PM
Southwest ISD is asking parents/guardians for patience during drop-offs and pick-ups. The first week comes with increased traffic and families learning new routines. Please be aware that School Zones have reduced speed limits, and students who cross the street.
Somerset Academies wants to make sure their Little Bengals are ready to ROAR into the new year!
- Label all personal items β backpacks, lunchboxes, water bottles, jackets, etc.
- Encourage lunchtime independence β opening containers & small packages.
- Practice dressing skills & restroom hygiene β buttoning/unbuttoning pants, tying shoes, or using Velcro.
- Ensure students know their first & last name β no nicknames, please!
- Review routines β bedtime, morning prep, and quick drop-offs.
- Encourage confidence & kindness β remind them to ask for help when needed.
