New Braunfels police looking for suspects who targeted local church, high school

New Braunfels police seek help identifying burglary suspects caught on camera at a church and high school.

SAN ANTONIO — The New Braunfels Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying burglary suspects captured on surveillance cameras.   

The department posted on Facebook about a couple of burglaries in the area that targeted a local church and high school. 

According to the post, authorities are looking for “suspect 1”, a man described as 6-feet-tall, wearing camo or a green hat, a black long sleeve shirt, black gloves, a gray backpack, khaki cargo pants and driving a red hatchback or crossover SUV. Police said this suspect burglarized the Fellowship Bible Church, located in the 4000 block of Morningside Drive on Sept. 27. 

“Suspect 2” and “suspect 3” were also spotted on a security camera during a burglary of the Long Creek High School baseball field press box on Oct. 20 around 8:30 p.m. Authorities said over $8,000 worth of sound equipment was stolen during this incident.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspects is asked to call New Braunfels PD or Comal County Crime Stoppers. A reward of up to $4,000 for information on any crime when the information leads to an arrest.
