New details emerge in shooting death of 79-year-old man in Live Oak

He was shot and killed during rush hour two weeks ago.

LIVE OAK, Texas — There are new details in a murder of a 79-year-old man who was shot and killed during rush hour two weeks ago in Live Oak.

Police have released a photo of the truck that is reportedly involved in the shooting.

Police say the suspect shot several times at the Mazda Miata at the intersection of Pat Booker Road and I-35 South frontage road on May 14 around 6 p.m.

The truck looks to be a four-door silver Chevrolet.

The driver of the Miata, 79-year-old Coleman Joshlin died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

Live Oak police are asking anyone with any information, including the identity of the driver in the truck, to come forward.
