H-E-B first went into business in the Texas Hill Country, now the grocery giant is headed back to where it all started. A new store will be joining a 118-acre multi-use development that is under construction between San Antonio and Boerne, according to a news release.
H-E-B has broke ground in the Lemon Creek Ranch development just outside of Boerne, according to an announcement from Lemon Creek Ranch developer Valcor. The email states that the grand opening for the new H-E-B will be in the first quarter of 2024.
The release confirms a previous MySA report about the new H-E-B coming to Lemon Creek Ranch. The mixed-use development will feature over 118 acres of retail, residential, and office space. Five acres will be focused on entertainment.

Phase 1 is now leasing for retail and office space. The first phase has a “Class A” three-story office/retail building with 87,594 square-feet available. There will also be a “Class A” single-story retail building with 16,258 square-feet of commercial space on Interstate 10. The first phase will also have a two-story retail/restaurant trail head, along with much more, according to the website.
