New Mambo Seafood restaurant to open in west San Antonio in September

The new location will open on Sept. 8 at 719 Castroville Road in the heart of the west side.

SAN ANTONIO — Seafood fans listen up because a new restaurant is set to open up on the west side of San Antonio.

Mambo Seafood is a Texas-based restaurant that has been serving Latin-inspired seafood dishes since 1996. Their journey continues as they are now opening a new location in the Las Palmas neighborhood.

The new location will open on Sept. 8 at 719 Castroville Road in the heart of the west side. 244 guests will be able to be seated at the new 6,500-square-foot restaurant.

In addition, the restaurant is looking to hire 100 employees.

A soft opening is expected to be on Monday, September 8 with a grand opening celebration expected to be on Saturday, September 27. The grand opening will feature complimentary paletas, face painting and an appearance from the San Antonio Missions baseball mascot, who will give away merchandise and 2026-27 game tickets.

This will be the third location in San Antonio, joining the Brooks City Base and Medical Center restaurants.
