New Texas law set to create tax appraisal internet database

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Local appraisal districts will now be required to develop searchable databases detailing protest hearings conducted by local appraisal review boards beginning on Jan 1. 

It’s all thanks to the passing of House Bill 796. For taxpayers, this means that there will be better transparency to protest your property taxes.
