SAN ANTONIO — Drivers traveling in far west Bexar County will have a smoother commute now.
A new turnaround bridge from Highway 90 to SH 211 officially opened Monday, wrapping up a major improvement project months ahead of schedule.
The $6.8 million project added the westbound-to-eastbound turnaround bridge and new turn lanes to help traffic flow better and improve safety at the busy US 90 and SH 211 intersection in far west Bexar County.
Originally set to finish in winter 2026, crews wrapped it up early—bringing some relief for drivers sooner than expected.
