Ingram celebrates the reopening of its Little League Ballpark on Saturday after a $2.5M rebuild led by the Houston Astros Foundation following last year’s floods.
INGRAM, Texas — A major comeback is underway in Ingram following devastating flooding last year, as the newly rebuilt Ingram Little League Ballpark is set to officially reopen.
The reopening follows a $2.5 million reconstruction project led by the Houston Astros Foundation and partner organizations. The complex was destroyed during the July Fourth floods.
The rebuilt facility now features new fields, batting cages and updated amenities.
A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday morning and will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, a first pitch and exhibition games between local teams and players from the Astros Youth Academy.
Events are set to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday in Ingram.
