NICU babies at a San Antonio hospital are celebrating Easter with handmade bunny ears and special surprises.
SAN ANTONIO — Some of San Antonio’s smallest patients are celebrating a big milestone, their very first Easter.
At CHRISTUS Santa Rosa – Westover Hills, NICU babies are getting into the holiday spirit with the help of caring staff.
Each baby is dressed in handmade bunny ears crafted by a nurse, along with festive touches like felt Easter eggs and small goodies for their families.
Hospital staff say the tradition is one way they help bring comfort and joy to families spending the holiday in the hospital.
Even in the NICU, where care is critical, moments like these help create special memories for parents and their newborns.
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa – Westover Hills, the first hospital on San Antonio’s west side, serves families across a rapidly growing part of Bexar County, and continues to find meaningful ways to celebrate life’s moments, big and small.
