Wemby receives a hero’s welcome to France in a new Nike commercial.
SAN ANTONIO — With San Antonio Spurs‘ Victor Wembanyama returning to his home country of France, Nike released a new commercial giving him a hero’s welcome.
The commercial features fans in his No. 1 Spurs jersey while playing basketball. A voice-over highlights his on-court abilities while mentioning how he inspires young athletes in Paris.
The Spurs and Wemby have been busy in France. The team recently unveiled two new basketball courts in his hometown and has been getting in practice time ahead of their game versus Indiana on Thursday in Paris.
SPURS ATTEND PARIS FASHION SHOW
The Spurs are enjoying their time in Paris, and a few of them attended the Louis Vuitton Menswear Fall-Winter 2025-26 show at Paris Fashion Week in Paris.
Chris Paul, Harrison Barnes, Jeremy Sochan, Devin Vassell and Wembanyama appeared and dressed to impress at the show.
If you did not know, Wemby is a brand ambassador for the fashion house and can usually be seen wearing their clothes off the court.
GQ Sports said the two sides began talks when Wemby was still in France playing with the Metropolitans 92.
“To me, it’s the best,” Wembanyama told GQ Sports. “It’s the best partner I can think of.”
“I wanted a meaningful partnership. To me it made a lot of sense to partner with LV—you know, French excellence. The expertise is something that I feel very much attracted to.”
