No injuries reported after fire on South Pleasant Road in South Austin

The fire was deemed under control just after 9 p.m.

AUSTIN, Texas — A portion of South Pleasant Valley Road in South Austin was shut down after crews with the Austin Fire Department (AFD) battled a large fire that sparked Sunday night.

According to AFD, the fire started in the 4600 block of S Pleasant Valley Road, and sparked at an apartment building that was under construction.

AFD said there were no injuries caused by the fire. The fire was deemed under control just after 9 p.m.

The area of South Pleasant Valley Road where the fire occurred was closed for multiple hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
