SAN ANTONIO — A Northside ISD principal is out on bond after being accused of driving while intoxicated.
36-year-old Kevin Vanlanham is the current principal at E.M. Pease Middle School.
Converse police arrested him around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning on 1604 and Miramar.
Officers say he was driving the wrong way and showed signs of intoxication during field sobriety tests.
He was booked on a charge of DWI.
A Northside ISD spokesperson confirmed the arrest and would only say this is an ongoing legal and personnel matter.

“Northside ISD is aware of the recent arrest of one of our employees. We can confirm that the individual is currently employed as the principal of Pease Middle School and has been with the district since August 19, 2013. This is an ongoing legal and personnel matter and the district cannot comment further at this time.”
