Nosebleeds seats for Texas-Ohio State will cost you basically the same as front row for Texas-Arizona State

ARLINGTON, Texas — In terms of name-brand appeal, there could not have been a better matchup for the marquee of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic at AT&T Stadium.

Two blue-blood, historic programs with fan bases that have deep pockets. Texas Longhorns. Ohio State Buckeyes.

It’s a de facto “home” game for the Longhorns. Ohio State is arguably the hottest and most talented team in the bracket. Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers initially chose Ohio State over Texas coming out of high school, then left and came back to the Lone Star State.

There’s so many storylines to make this an eye-grabber, and it shows in the ticket prices. Texas fans are no stranger to this: the Texas A&M game boasted the highest prices of the year (cheapest price in the low $700s) and the SEC championship cost about $350 to $400 to attend.

These prices (as well as the the ones below) are a stark contrast from the prices seen in the CFP quarterfinal round, where Texas fans could get into the Peach Bowl for around $20 and Ohio State fans – who had the hottest ticket at the Rose Bowl against No. 1 seed Oregon – would have got in “the Granddaddy of them all” for around $140.

In fact, the most expensive seat at the Peach Bowl – front rows along the 50-yard line – costs nearly the same as the nosebleed seats at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
