SAN ANTONIO — An off-duty Bexar County constable was seriously injured after an Amazon crashed into his vehicle from behind on the northeast side of town.
It happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning on I-35 South at Crosswinds Way.
The off-duty constable was working road construction in the area and was sitting inside his vehicle parked on the highway when the Amazon 18-wheeler truck driver hit him from behind.
He told emergency workers that he could not feel his legs. He was taken to BAMC in serious condition.
The crash is under investigation.
