SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot by police Friday night as officers responded to a reported burglary at a northwest-side public storage facility, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Officers were called just after 10 p.m. to the facility located on the 8700 block of Fredericksburg Road.
Chief William McManus said two officers arrived and found a man inside a storage unit at the back of the property.
The suspect allegedly fired three shots at the officers. One officer returned fire, hitting the man multiple times—according to McManus.
The suspect was taken to a hospital in unknown condition. No officers were injured.
McManus emphasized that all information is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation continues.
