Officials: 2 arrested after 1,000 circuit breaker boxes were seized from ‘illegal construction equipment enterprise’ in Bexar County

Along with the stolen circuit panels, BCSO also seized more than 800 bundles of Romex copper wiring and three vehicles as a part of an ongoing investigation.

SAN ANTONIO — Two men were arrested after the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said they seized a large cache of construction-related materials as part of an investigation into an alleged “illegal construction equipment enterprise.”

Investigators said they developed information in recent days about a suspect who was buying and selling circuit breaker boxes and copper wiring. Deputies said they observed one of the transactions before obtaining a search warrant for the home where the sale took place.

Authorities arrested 31-year-old Rodin Alexis Garcia Rivera and 68-year-old Pedro Lozano Moreno, both for engaging in organized criminal activity.

As part of the investigation, deputies executed a search warrant at a storage unit owned by Rivera. Officials said they seized approximately 1,000 circuit breaker panels, 800 bundles of Romex copper wiring and three vehicles believed to have been bought with money from the alleged illegal operation.

Rivera’s bonds total up to $25,000, while Moreno received bonds totaling up to $17,500.

The sheriff’s office said additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
