Officials: ACS, SAPD help wrangle bulls that broke free for a ‘moonlight stroll’

ACS is reminding San Antonians: It’s forbidden to allow livestock and other animals loose on the streets.

SAN ANTONIO — Animal Control Services say their team, as well as San Antonio police, were called to the south side Monday night to help wrangle a trio of bulls that strolled off their owner’s property.

Two other bulls followed, ACS said in a Facebook post, when they “saw an open gate (and) made a cow-culated exit.” It happened on the south side.

One of the three wasn’t excited about the prospect of returning home right away, ACS said, but it eventually found its way back.

ACS is taking the incident as an opportunity to remind the public that, no matter if you own dogs or bulls, animals and livestock aren’t allowed to roam city streets unattended. If you see that that’s happening, you can make a report by calling 311 or at this webpage.
