Officials: Firefighters contain garage blaze; family faces possible displacement

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.

SAN ANTONIO — A man and his mother might be displaced after an early morning fire that started in their garage, according to officials.

San Antonio firefighters were called to a home in the 300 block of Oneoak just before 4 a.m. Thursday morning.

A mother and her adult son were at home when a neighbor knocked on the door and told them there was a fire in their garage. Firefighters were able to enter the garage and quickly knocked down the fire.

Damage in the garage is moderate with minimal smoke damage to the rest of the house.

Officials says the residents may be displaced. If they are, American Red Cross will be called.
